Manager’s Message
It is a great blessing to be part of an environment, which is supportive, secure and beneficial in
all aspects for the scholars of today. In a world where, moral and ethical standards have
deteriorated, I feel happy to observe that the Lucknow Christian Degree College Staff and
Students are slowly, yet steadily, finding their way through all kinds of challenges.
Our College has grown from small beginnings to a huge institution spanning six units. Students
who have studied in these portals receive, not only academic learning, but a strong foundation
in moral values. At Lucknow Christian Degree College, we give the staff and students a chance
to explore new ideas; we watch, we mentor and we guide our students through mistakes and
victories alike. Our vision is to inspire young minds to reach for the more noble goals in life.
To our dedicated faculty members, I express my sincere appreciation for your commitment to
mentoring young minds with patience, excellence, and genuine care. Your influence extends
far beyond the classroom and leaves a lasting impact on the lives entrusted to you. I also thank
the parents and guardians who place their confidence in our institution. Your partnership
strengthens our mission of forming responsible, compassionate, and capable citizens.
I encourage our students to embrace every challenge as a chance to learn, every success with
humility, and every setback with perseverance. Your years at this institution will shape not only
your profession but also the kind of person you become. Let your education inspire you to
make meaningful contributions to your families, your communities, and our nation.

From the Principal’s Desk
Dear Students, Parents, Alumni, and Visitors,
Higher education is a transformative journey. It is a time to explore ideas, develop critical thinking, discover
hidden talents, and build the confidence to face an ever-evolving world. At our college, we strive to create an
environment where academic excellence is balanced with personal growth, ethical values, and social
responsibility.
We believe that education extends far beyond textbooks and examinations. It is reflected in the questions
students dare to ask, the challenges they are willing to embrace, the relationships they build, and the positive
impact they create in society. Our classrooms are designed to inspire curiosity, while our co-curricular and
extension activities encourage leadership, creativity, teamwork, and community engagement.
Our dedicated faculty members are committed not only to imparting knowledge but also to mentoring students
with care, patience, and professionalism. They continuously adopt innovative teaching methods that prepare
learners to excel in higher studies, professional careers, entrepreneurship, and public service.
As technology reshapes every sphere of life, we encourage our students to become lifelong learners who adapt
with confidence while remaining rooted in values of honesty, respect, empathy, and integrity. Success is not
measured merely by academic achievements but by the character we build, the lives we touch, and the
responsibilities we fulfill.
As you explore our website, I invite you to learn more about our academic programmes, campus life,
achievements, and vision. We remain committed to providing an inclusive, vibrant, and intellectually
stimulating environment where every student can realize their full potential.

Buildings Of The College
The Husainabad School House: The Lucknow Christian College was established in 1862 by Rev. J. H. Messmore with only four students. The College grew and by 1870 there were around 25 students. In 1868 the college was given an annual government aid of Rs. 10/-. The area was densely populated and the flood of 1868 was main cause to shift the school from Husainabad to Victoria Street in Chowk area of the old city. However, this place too did not prove to be sufficient to cater to the needs of a big college so it was decided to purchase some property in Sadar and in Qaiserbagh areas. However, the plan could not materialise. In 1883 the school was shifted to a new building which was known as the old Centennial Building. The first degree classes were started from here. This building was later demolished. The first purchased property for the College remains the property which was purchased in 1878 in the Qaiser Bagh area opposite the Kothi Roshan-Ud-Daula or the Kothi Qaiser Pasand. But no classes were ever run from this property. This property which was a private bungalow was purchased by Rev. B. H. Badley for the amount of Rs. 4200/-.
Fairfield Hall
Fairfield Hall, now serving as the main auditorium of Lucknow Christian Degree College, was constructed in 1913. Over the years, it has been the venue for numerous academic programmes, cultural events, seminars, conferences and important college functions. The hall continues to be one of the most significant buildings on the campus, bringing together students, faculty and guests for a variety of educational and cultural activities.
Clock Tower
The Clock Tower of Lucknow Christian College is home to one of the oldest working clocks in India. The clock was manufactured in the United States and imported to India in 1884. Initially, it was installed on the School Building. When that building was demolished in 1921, the clock was carefully shifted to the tower above Fairfield Hall, where it continues to function even today, symbolising the institution's rich heritage.
Badley Blocks
The Badley Blocks were constructed in 1921 after the demolition of the old School Building. These blocks were dedicated to the memory of Rev. B. H. Badley, whose contributions played a vital role in the development of the College.
Located on both sides of the College's main entrance, the buildings presently house the Departments of Botany, Zoology, Mathematics and Chemistry, along with a few sections of the Intermediate College.
Centennial School
The Centennial School building was constructed in 1921 as a Higher Secondary School. The institution began with nearly 500 students and has continued to contribute to quality school education for generations.

Over the years, the institution was upgraded into a B.Ed. College. In 1978, the Christian Training College was shifted to the Warne Hall Building at the Inayat Bagh Campus, where it continues to contribute to teacher education under the affiliation of the University of Lucknow.
Bishop Chitamber Chapel
