CATEGORIES AND PRIVILEGE MARKS:

Candidates of the following categories (except category No.1) are eligible for privilege marks. A candidate can take advantage of only one category. No candidate shall be automatically eligible for any category or privilege. Candidates claiming any of the following privileges must upload a copy of the certificates on the basis of which the privilege is claimed at the time of submission of the Application form. No certificate for claiming privilege shall be accepted afterwards.Candidates will be disqualified for claiming privilege falsely.

Category- 1 GENERAL:

A candidate who does not fall under any of the categories from No. 2 to 5 should write his category as No. 1 (General).

Category 2 CHURCH RECOMMENDED / LCC 6 UNITS EMPLOYEE'S WARD/ BLIND / PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED (DIVYANG):

2a. CHURCH RECOMMENDED CANDIDATE:

The Merit List of the Christian Candidates will be generated separately. They must appear for an Interview. In order to be considered for admission under this category the applicant must submit copy of the following at the time of submitting his application form

  • Baptism Certificate or Church Membership Certificate from the pastor of the Church of which he/she is a member.
  • It will be mandatory for the Christian student to take the membership of Student Christian Movement (SCM) at the time of admission.

2b. LCC EMPLOYEE'S WARD:

Sons, grandsons or spouses of the LCC staff {all the 6 units) and those of former members of staff who had put in at least five years of continuous service in the college will be admitted without competing with other candidates in merit, provided they have scored required minimum marks. The application forms of such candidates should be endorsed through a certificate by the Principal concerned and verified by the Manager, LCC.

2c. BLIND/PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED:

Blind orphysically challenged candidates with 40% or more disablility, certified by the Chief Medical Officer and verified by the admission committee, shall be admitted.

Category-3 MISCELLANEOUS:

Candidates, who belong to one of the following sub-categories will be given advantage of 5% of the marks scored in the Intermediate Exam, provided they submit requisite authenticated certificates at the time of submission of Application form.

3a. CHILDREN OF ALUMNI / TEACHERS / DEFENCE PERSONNEL :

Children of College Alumni (who are registered as life members), defence personnel, teachers of Lucknow University and its associate degree colleges, are eligible for this privilege. However, for claiming this privilege, they should submit a certificate from the appropriate authority of the concerned Institutions/Organizations.

3b.NCC:

Candidates who have received 'B' certificate of the National Cadet Corps, are eligible for this privilege.

3c. OTHER BACKWARD CLASSES / GRAND CHILDREN OF FREEDOM FIGHTERS:

Other Backward Classes candidates should submit an authenticated certificate from a statutory magistrate not below the rank of Tehsildar. Grand children of freedom-fighters should submit a certificate from a statutory magistrate not below the rank of Sub. Divisional Magistrate to the effect that they are Children/ Grand children of a freedom-fighter duly certified by the government.

3d. LCIC/CHSS STUDENTS:

Candidates having passed the Intermediate Examination from Lucknow Christian Intermediate College (LCIC) or Centennial Higher Secondary School (CHSS), should submit a character certificate from their Principal, to be considered underthis category.

Category - 4 SCHEDULED CASTE/ SCHEDULED TRIBE (SC/ST):

SC/ST candidates must submit a certificate from a District Magistrate / Tehsildar or District Harijan Welfare Officer, to claim privilege under this category. Such candidates will be given a weightage of 10% of the marks scored in Intermediate Exam.

Category - 5 FOREIGN STUDENTS :

The admission of foreign candidates shall be at the discretion of the Principal of the college, provided they come through their Embassy/Consulate.

Category-6 SPORTS QUOTA

A maximum of total 50 Seats are reserved as Sports Quota for Semester-I as per the following list :

The candidates who have represented any above mentioned game at junior State or District in SGFI or in their concerned Associations can apply for the same. They will have to appear before the committee constituted by the Principal for checking their Games Certificates and for a skill test to evaluate their playing ability. On the recommendations of the said committee they will be allowed to avail admission under this quota. There is no compulsion for filling the sports quota seats. In case of the suitable candidates are not available for seats under Sports Quota then these seats will be made available to the candidates of other categories.

1. If a candidate is fail in any of the subjects in Intermediate which he/she wishes to pursue in UG Course he/she will not be allowed the admission for that particular subject.

2. For B.Com. Course the candidates who pursued the commerce subject as vocational / additional subjects will not be allowed the admission in B.Com.
